• Exciting new destinations next year for second season of Prototype Cup Europe
• Series organiser Creventic delighted to present impressive 2027 schedule
• Four of five events to run as support to Michelin 24H SERIES European Series
• Venue and date for Rd4 of next season’s championship announced soon
Gennep, Netherlands (21 August 2026):
Austria’s Red Bull Ring and Spain’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will both be part of an exciting and energised 2027 calendar for Prototype Cup Europe, after championship organisers Creventic today received approval for next season’s schedule from the ACO (Automobile Club de l’ouest).
Four of the five events for the second season of Prototype Cup Europe have been ratified, and all four of those will see the LMP3 prototypes running as a key support category to the Michelin 24H SERIES European Series.
The as-yet unconfirmed date and venue will be round four of the season, expected to run sometime in the summer as part of a standalone meeting away from the Michelin 24H SERIES. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Starting off, as this year, at Mugello Circuit in Italy across the weekend 19/20/21 March, Prototype Cup Europe will then travel to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for round two of the 2027 season across 9/10/11 April.
Round three is the first of the new venues for Prototype Cup Europe, although the predecessor Prototype Cup Germany did compete there for its 2025 season finale – a visit to the iconic Red Bull Ring in Austria over the weekend 14/15/16 May.
Round five will then bring Prototype Cup Europe’s LMP3 competitors back to the Michelin 24H SERIES package for the championship’s first ever visit to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, on 10/11/12 September.

Delighted to announce the 2027 calendar ahead of the current campaign’s championship decider at Belgium’s Spa on Friday, 4 September, Creventic – in continued partnership with the ACO and leading tyre manufacturer Michelin – is thrilled to present another impressive selection of circuits.
Orry Lichtenberg, Prototype Cup Europe Series Coordinator:
“We are excited to announce next year’s calendar. The step from a national series to a European Championship has been well received by our teams and drivers. We are excited to visit new venues and be part of the 24H SERIES weekends, which provide plenty of track time thanks to the track days held ahead of each event.
“We already have commitments from several teams for the upcoming season, and we are confident that the grids will continue to grow in 2027. We are also considering some small adjustments to the regulations to improve the racing and the overall competition between the different line-ups.”
